Reflecting

Kalama Sutta

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it.

Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations.

Do not believe in anything because it is spoken and rumoured by many.

Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books.

Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

But after observation and analysis when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all.

Then accept it and live up to it.      --  the Buddha

Welcome to I Learn in Cambodia

Learning is difficult. This may surprise, but it's supposed to be. If we're not pushing ourselves then we remain in our comfort zone, where nothing changes. If we stay in our comfort zone, our future is guaranteed to look like our past – at least until the day that the outside world invades our space with change that we are ill prepared for.

Difficulty is OK, but often it can seem overwhelming, creating major stress which leads to "shut down". "Sleeping" is an escape from the stress.

I'm building this site with the hope that technology can support my students in constructing their own learning.

Support:

As the student develops more confidence in their immediate course work, other features will facilitate their research in areas of personal interest.

Facilitation:

Learning starts with questions, not answers.
